Tank - Full Summary

With my first comment on the April Fools thead I guess I should introduce myself, I'm Jeff Wester, retired Air Force. I am going to pickup this tank tomorrow morning. It's been neglected and so this is both a mercy purchase for the fish and a bonus to me because of all of the extras the guy sold with his tank. The fish are going in my reef and I am going to keep this system running to culture it's refugium which seemed quite healthy a week ago when I looked at it. I have been in the saltwater reefing hobby now for 3+ years, and if I would have gave up at the first sign of trouble I would not be here today. Every day I see so many new and old reefers leaving this hobby. Problems develop in our tanks and they frustrating and very depressing. Not to mention the very bad economy that we find ourselves in these days. IMO, in the end this is a wonderful hobby. I'm still learning so much every day from everyone in this hobby. Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I just signed up to Reef Addicts. I have had a 37 gallon FOWLR tank for 8 years. I just decided to step it up to a 162 gal in-wall reef tank. I just ordered it, and am preparing the wall and room behind. I will be making lots of posts and pics along the way. Since I am new to reef tanks, and advice will be helpful!

First question...what skimmer should I buy, and why? I will have a sump section for the skimmer. Have not built the sump yet.

Well, first let me start off with a big thank you to a few people who have helped me get the grasp and understanding of what I am diving into..
