  1. Need Some Guidance for an External Protein Skimmer.

So if you haven't already stumbled upon my aquarium thread. I have a 120 gallon aquarium with no sump (just my personal choice for the setup). I have found some decent Hang On Back Skimmers but I have been toying with the idea of purchasing an External Protein Skimmer and just plumbing it my aquarium directly. However, I have no prior experience with External Protein Skimmers and I don't know what is necessary? Can I install the External Protein Skimmer on the Floor below my aquarium or do I need ...

After everything was said and done I ended up paying about $250 for the tank, as I received a large discount for the issues we had receiving it. I have no idea when I'm going to get to installing it, but at least now we have it, and can sort out our plumbing order so we can get moving once again.

  5. Today was a busy day - made some progress

I woke up today excited to receive my pallet from Premium Aquatics. It arrived 2.5 hours later than promised, which delayed my other project but what could I do about that? The pallet has Tropic Eden sand, both dry and many trays of live sand for the new tank. Two bags of calcium reactor media by Tropic Eden (large reef 'bones' type), Sybon reef salt, filter socks, Vertex NP pellets, bulkheads, Phosphate Control, thermometers and more. The driver had to make two trips up the driveway with his ...
