This is the sump design I have in mind Tank Stand is 80"x 34"x38" Expect to loose 8-10 inches of height due to clearance below the stand and bracing... so assuming I have 36-37 inches of height for skimmers and equipment. Planning to use my Hurricone Cat 1 but verylikely will add any of the Sper Reef OCtopus 5000 Series and keep both if they fit. those skimmers ...

I thought I'd read one time to turn your return pump off for a 1/2 hour every day to give it a rest. Is this true or not? Thanks in advance, HAT
UPDATE In normal conditions 5 liters of water I lost every day (evaporation) from 120g, adding 5 liters was not a big issue since I started 120g, but when Nick told me that 9 liters of water evaporate every day from his 210G, then I decided to kill the problem and at last before starting tank installed 5 stages Reverse Osmosis Systems with the help of Nick. I'm looking for suggestions on an external pump for my newly updated system. I had a 110 gal system with a basement sump that was powered by a Blueline HD40. The tank leaked so I'm replacing it with a Marineland DD 250 gal - very cool! But now I need more flow to achieve at least 4x turnover. Please give me your feedback for potential options that meet these parameters: 1) I want at least 1000 gph at ~12 feet of head pressure. I currently use my return pump to feed my fuge & GFO, ...
