So I think I have figured out a way to make my system better! (i.e. more complicated) Now that I have everything up and running I am finding permanent homes for all of my equipment and have a little space open that I don't have anything for! As a result, I think I would like to put a frag tank in that is plumbed into my system. As it would sit I have easy access to my main return pump to draw off of for water intake. 2. My 325 is finally cycling!

I have long been lurking on many forums researching and ogling many peoples tanks. I have a sumo, so the water line only move up or down if I open or restrict the drain coming from the overflow. I attached the wall wood trim around the tank, filled nail holes, paint, etc, and whe I have the overflow drain fully open, the water line is about 1 inch below the trim. I have to back the drain off about 30% to get the return pump to raise ...

    Hello everyone,

I am planning a 120 gal FOWLR tank and am trying to establish about a 10x (1200gph) turnover through the sump back to the tank.

The question I have is are most reef addicts drilling their sump to attach a single external return pump (with an exact extra pump on hand in case of failure)? ... or inserting two smaller return pumps in the sump so in case one burns out the other will function until the problem is discovered (this was recommended by my ...
