Lighting descriptions
I been doing some research about this and cant find any hard core yes or no answers or really any good info to back this up either way. So my question would be do corals of the same species and genus with different color of zooxanthellae have different par requirements because of color
Looking to get some of the Apollo Reef LED Ultra fixtures to hang over my 110H. Anyone have experience, feelings towards or against, or pictures of these lights in action? Kinda working within a budget and two of these fall right into the 700 - 800 buck range, right where I want to be. Videos and information on thier site shows the PAR levels and from I understand about PAR - the levels the LED put out will definately work with my softy and LPS mixture of coral.

Hi, I'm finalizing the design of the light rack for my tank and would appreciate help on the following questions. Tank is 88x34x30 Lights planned: 3 LB mini (16x16x7) 250 w with Coralvue dimmable ballasts and a couple of T5 lines on the front and back: Points I need help with: -Hanging height (I remember it was 16-18 inch from water to bulb) should I raise them more as I'm only using 3 -T5s in between the bulbs from front to back? would ...

Here are a couple of pics of the paint job I did today. This is the housing paint job and the hasps I painted as well. Shot of the business end painted. So i still have to finish the end where the hanger and the cords are attached. I am not real confident in the paint job. I feel like it will scratch very easily. Wondering if I could spray some polyacrylic or something on as a topcoat.... maybe even clearcoat ...
So i started working on the housing for my LED light fixture. So far I am pretty happy with the results. Its a little bit of trial and error and lots of fine tuning. Now pics. After trying different configurations using different pieces this is my favorite so far and what i am using for Version 1.
