I've recently just completed a mini energy/utility use audit in an effort to reduce my overhead/operating costs on my system. I can successfully say that I was able to lower my utility bills considerably by swapping out a 250w MH for a Kessil light and a number of smaller minor equipment tweaks. ...

Saturday and Sunday, I moved the livestock and rock from the temporary tank to the new ones. After mostly everything was cleaned up, the lights were out and I was quietly at my computer, I spotted the 60g aquarium looked cloudy from afar. Since the water was crystal clear, I was very surprised. With a flashlight, I quickly found that my anemones were spawning - releasing sperm into the water.
