The BTA in my tank is devouring the cleaner shrimp currently. I'm not sure how this happened, but my guess is that the clownfish were defending their eggs and scared the shrimp right into the tentacles. No idea, since they were leaving together closely for months. As I was watching the shrimp vanish, I noticed the tentacles were moving every direction which is pretty good evidence of random or chaotic flow.
So since the first of the year I have not been able to do too much. In February I moved all the sump and other filtration to the garage as we finally installed the AC unit in there. I have added a few corals here and there and got a calcium reactor online. This Month I finally got around to hanging the light fixture which has made the reef look a whole lot better and has created easier access to work within the tank. I also yanked out some rock and re aquascaped which still has the fishies hiding ...
Only 90 Days old and I've had a 29 gallon sump crack/leak, replaced that with a 40 gallon Breeder for a sump, Built a new Stand and Swapped the old stand out with the new stand. So far, it appears that I only lost 1 Turbo Snail. ( He stunk when I pulled him out of the QT tank, so, maybe it was his time.) Otherwise, All my fins and corals appear to have made it through the ordeal of the past 2 weeks. ...
