Hi All, About four weeks into my son's reef build we ran across a used 35G aquarium for $20! So of course we bought it and went to work building a fuge (prior to finding this site). Seems to have made a huge difference in the tank chem... but we are still getting some micro bubbles in the display tank. Wondering if anyone has any wisdom for us? Two weeks ago I had the impression my hammer coral (one ployp) was getting fatter.... well, today I am pretty sure it is splitting into two polyps! That might seem "so what?" to you, but feels very rewarding to me. It is the first stony coral in the tank that not only survived in my water and lighting but is also growing (had one Acan polpy that died, three Trumpet polyps that also died and another hammer polyp that got eaten by a rogue peppermint shrimp). ive had my 39 gallon going for about two months now with an eshopps nano overflow going into a 15 gallon rubermaid sump. my overflow box is making too much noise, how can i silence it?
Finish covering the carcass with the pine stock. A coat of stain and two coats of satin poly. Clamp together and install the hinge. Voila! Did put a video on YouTube... search for "DIY Aquarium Canopy" (Use the quotes) Jim
