I'm so excited! I finished my rock work finally. I had to mortar four rocks together and it took me forever to get someone to come over who was willing to offer a hand to get the rocks in the tank with the acrylic rod. I drained the water from the water test a month ago and arranged the rocks in their final position. I added a 5 gallon bucket of sand to cover up the acrylic plate that the rod is threaded into. I've been taking advantage of some down time at work to make good progress. I've not shared this image yet, so here's the completed stand.



I've also got the light rack all secured. I hung it via a rancor bike hoist, which will allow me to pull it to the ceiling if it's in the way during maintenance, while also giving me the flexibility to adjust its operational height with ease. ...

I started sheetrocking the fishroom a few weeks ago. That was accomplished and the insulation was installed on the garage side of the walls. Plastic edging was applied to all the corners to keep them clean, tidy and strong.

I am building my stand so that it has three sections (the 120 and two 20 gallon stands). This is my first wood working project. I have to say it is fun. The 120 gallon stand was easy to get squared but the two 20 gallon stands didn’t want to cooperate. I used RocketEngineer DIY Stand Template and Calculator on reefcentral to build the stand base.
