Today I installed the Boosted RODI unit (from Melev's Reef) and had the neighbor over to look at the garage. The neighbor is Mike Laforge who owns Pavement Pros and Concrete Solutions of the Carolina's in York, SC. He does exceptional work from standard driveways to concrete patios. If your in the Charlotte Metro and need concrete work I would highly recommend his work.

Just made my first ever acrylic weld... other than my practice joints. I'll be posting some pictures later this evening. I'll also be posting an updated picture of my tank and the new (mostly completed) plumbing. It's been a long time coming, but by the end of the weekend I will probably be able to give my system a full scale water test (and hopefully share a video with you guys). Hope you all enjoy the pictures when I get a minute to post them this evening!

I just cleaned out my circ pump intake, and changed the filter socks, emptied my skimmer basket (rinsed the gunk out as usual and the skimmer started overflowing almost immediately, and now I cant get it to go slow enough not to overflow unless I lift the skimmer up by an inch. Any ideas what is happening? all parameters seem good except the nightrate seems a little high at 20-40 ppm. the skimmer seems to have been working properly for months. cleaning the intake on the circ pump really increased ...

Last Thursday we closed on the new house in Charlotte. The family and I went to the mountains of NC for the weekend and I snuck down to the Atlanta Reef Club for their frag swap and presentations. The swap was great, lots of fraggers and some vendors with their products up on display. Not only were they there to help explain their products but many of them contributed to the raffle.
