  1. DIY Turf Algae filter

    So I have been thinking about doing this for a few weeks and finally getting around to it after trying to get the nitrates down though regular water changes etc. After thinking about it I decided to use the media tray area in my sump made it real easy. Where the red arrow is pointed.

  2. Best way to get rid of dinoflagellates?

    I have a bad case of the dino's and can't get rid of it. My tank is a 75g 55 gal sump section and fuge in one tank. My parameters are

  3. How I spent my birthday or Day 6 of the build...

    Day 6 of work or What a way to spend your birthday.

    Well I fell into some money so I now have enough to finish this project 100%.

    Well we started by doing the electrical, 20 outlets in all. I wanted to make sure I had enough....

    Look what you can do. I'm jealous and amazed at the same time. Here's a news article that talks about tanks that cost $100,000 or more.

    I just have no luck it seems, I got laid off yesterday. There seem to be no jobs in my field, as I've been looking for about 3 months now. I'm looking for other jobs, but who knows whats out there.

    I called this morning and am trying to cancel the order for the water container, so I'm just waiting to hear back from them. In the mean time while I look for a job I guess I'll do what I can on our basement renovation; such as taking debris to the dump, cleaning up, and using up any supplies ...
