  1. Light Requirements?

    Hey All...
Could use some expert advice. Basics are... 75G display, 35G fuge, 216watt T5 x4, 2 daylight, 2 actinic. Recently the RBTA and the finger leather appear to be pulling in. Kenya tree frag looks fine and the 5 fish seem fine. The nem's tentacles seem to have a blue/green tinge about half way down. Water chem looks good... Do we have enough light?
  2. Spent Father's Day and Tuesday with the tank.....

My wife and son were kind enough to let me sit around the house, leave me alone, and work on the tank all day father's day and today. I completed 2 out of 3 things I set out to accomplish. The First things was to tackle my Ph issue, I noticed while the canopy was off the Ph would rise meaning that it was not getting enough fresh o2 in the transfer between the top of the water and the air so as you can see by the pictures I set out to try and remedy that particular issue. I have a cat the jump on ...

The tank has four 1" bulkheads on the back for the closed loop, and when the tank was taken down the closed loop piping was just sawed off in the bulkheads. I will have to get new bulkheads but before I do I am wondering if I should drill the holes out for bigger bulkheads? I have never run a closed loop, and I am planning on running my Iwaki md-100rlt for the closed loop pump. Does this sound reasonable at 1" ...

ID:	5422I thought this was a cool pic, and I should share it with everybody. I had the male scooter for a while, and noticed a female at the shop one day, so I brought her home. As soon as she was in the tank he was all over her, displaying like crazy! It peaked her interest, and they did a bit of tail dancing. If you look close in the pic, you'll notice some white stuff floating around them. Sadly, about 2 weeks after all this, they both up and died. I was pretty bummed cause he was ...

  5. Usually I don't comment on things like this...

... but I saw this on Facebook tonight and couldn't keep quiet. A fish store out of Houston has a 2-gallon pico tank up for sale. It comes with the livestock and gear, for the hefty price tag of $615. The fourth comment is what made me post this.

I regularly encourage hobbyists to support their local fish stores because I feel they are a great benefit both in shopping in person as well as the ability to get help when in a crisis. New products ...
