The final part of my SCUBA certification involves open water dives this weekend. I'm going to two different lakes, one per day. The car is loaded up with gear and an ice chest will hold food and drinks. What you see in this image are two air tanks, 5mm wet suit, 5mm hoodie vest, BCD, weights, log book, and a few smaller items. Not pictured are my fins, prescription mask, snorkel, and booties. Well I thought I would give a quick update on what was going on with my tank restart. I ordered 50lbs of keylargo rock from Marco Rock that has arrived. I purchased a 10 gallon tank and filled it up to use as my frag tank, painted the back glass, made a frag rack out of light diffuser, installed a heater, 30 gallon rated biowheel, added a nano korelia, added led lighting, waited for the temperature to level out and started moving over frags. The Skimmer Swabbie offered by AvastMarine.com is a great way to keep the neck of the collection cup clean. A motor rotates a squeegee within the riser, as often as a timer allows.
