  1. Day 68: The latest changes

After having my new fish in quarantine for 10 days with no sign of illness, I decided it was best to move them into my reef tonight. During the QT period, one Chromis died early on, and yesterday one of the Helfrichi firefish was found dead and tattered. Since I'm about to fly out to Florida to speak to a club there, I didn't want to risk it with all those fish in a small water volume and no-one to change the water daily. All the fish were quick to eat at every feeding session, so they can hold ...

  2. Psuedochromis Elongatus Likes to eat Red & Gold Coco Worms

Just in case you didn't know my Psuedo Elongatus loves to go into the tube of my red and gold coco worm and rip its feathers off its head. It's done this dastardly deed twice today so I've put the victim in the fuge for the time being. I kinda want to get the little punk out of my reef. I've seen him nip at overturned snails too.

    But...he's just so darn pretty...

On a side note, my lobo fell over on to my favorite orange yuma and nuked it as well as a good portion ...

I do not know if these are the same thing but the one that is bunched up is about the size of a nickel and they are spread throughout the sump walls and baffles.

I also have a ton of copepods

Here are some other pictures of my tank recently.

  4. Crab - Judgment Day

I have been watching a black crab, that looks and acts like an emerald crab. His claws are white and flat on the tips (like an emerald crab) but seem to be a bit more "serrated" on the inside in the arch. I have not witnessed any mischievous behavior but I wanted to see what judgment should be cast on the guy. Should let him stay in the display or IF I can catch him (and that s a big IF) should I banish him to the sump?

I have a video of him from last night.
