  1. Waste collector magic

As I've explained previously, when my skimmer's cup gets full I end up with a wet mess on and around the sump. Prior to MACNA I set up a waste collector tied to the Apex to avoid the clean up. While away, my tank sitter had to empty it out once, but until today I'd not seen first hand how it worked. I knew in theory what should happen, but it's nice to see a plan work out as expected.

I recently acquired another dog to add to, what it seems like, "my zoo". I have decided that the tank that I started earlier this year will be called Little Ireland. Awkward name for a reef tank, I know, but it was started on St. Patty's day. Not too much going on with the tank other than some creature that appears to be wrapped around my birds nest anyone have any ...

  4. The 400g Has Arrived

Friday September 6 2013 at 10:00 a.m., I was ready and waiting by the door for a big truck bearing my 400g replacement reef aquarium. The tank was due to arrive within moments along with 10 guys hired to bring it inside and onto the stand, courtesy of Marineland. I took the front door off the hinges, removed the hardware that pulls the storm door shut, and moved the framed photographs off the wall that the tank would pass beneath.

  5. Its been a while

Well the tank is close to 10 months old now.

And its been about 9 since I posted.

So the tank is running good. So far I have 2 clowns, a diamond goby, 2 bangai cardinals (of 3 that I put in...No clue where the 3rd went, never found a body, suspect the cat), a flame angel, 2 pepirment shirmp, a number of snails/crabs, and a dragon eye zoa.

I just moved the tank to another room, I upgraded to LED's, got a new skimmer and just ordered 2 koralia evo powerheads. ...
