  1. At last, the big tank is back

The 400g arrived yesterday, and this morning I uncrated it as I awaited all the volunteers that offered to help bring it inside. I purchased bottled water, sodas, snacks, and even had cash to give to all my helpers, but they declined that latter offer.

It was carefully crated, and I took out about 100 screws to remove the plywood walls protecting it during its trip to my house.

I looped my pump return from my sump back into my sump again, kept the skimmer running, maintained a constant temperature, maintained choeto in the refugium, and kept the biopellet reactor operational to ...

  4. 400g Marineland tank arrived.

It's been a long wait, but I'm happy to see a huge crate in my yard today. Tomorrow a bunch of DFWMAS members are coming over to squeeze this through the front door.

  5. Aloha y'all

For the past week, I spent my Thanksgiving in Hawaii on the island of O'ahu. I plan to share quite a bit of that trip in blogs and articles, so here's a quick aloha to let you know I'm back home. The 400g arrives tomorrow, at last.

Here are a few pictures from the Waikiki Aquarium.
