Well here it is... I used to be obsessed with reefong like two years ago visiting this site every day and it was crazy how obsessed I was! Well two years later I still have a tank but I barely pay attention too it. My new hobby is playing on the xbox... You should see how advanced this stuff is, the graphics aee unbelievable, so realistic and just addicting! I came here to introduce yall to some other hobbies... I know it sounds corny but it actually takes a lot of skill and the types of things ...
I was hoping someone could ID this stuff. My trates and phates are (supposedly) 0 and PH is 8.2. It almost looks like string or twine but its growing. Its much harder than other algae ive seen and its only growing on the outer edges of my returns.
Couple of weeks ago it was time to break down the 150G in my parents place and move the fish and some of the rocks to my sump... Was shocked to see the amount of detritus my sand and rocks trapped despite 50x tank volume flow. Another shock was to not find a single bristleworm or critter in my DSB. Hello everyone.... Replaced my T5's (had 4 over my tank) I had over my tank... with Corallife (4)T5 HO w/ lunar lights just looking for how long I should run the lights after I have them up to "full time use" right now I have them at 2 hours each day only had the light for a few days. My tank has mostly LPS and softyies and 2 SPS corals. Thanks for the info. Chris
I've had this coral for about 3 months and it was doing great. I fragged a piece off and it was doing good in my tank too. In the lastfew days I've noticed that it started to slump over and it's stopped opening up. This morning I found it like this. I tested my water and everything is fine; pH is within range, ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0, nitrate close to none, and phosphate is 0. The salinity is also within range though I've never really had problems with that. There is some discoloration happening ...
