Has anyone ever cut their starfish to create more starfish? I have a serpent starin my 75 gallon and I'm about to move everything over to a 180 bowfront. I don't know if I could actually bring myself to "cutting" my starfish (on purpose), but the money-saving idea came to me since I know that Echinoderms have regenerative capabilities. Just wondering if anybody had tried, or considered this method of obtaining more starfish for your tank.
I have 4 T5 10000K and 2 T5 actinic on my 40 breeder. I have stonies and softies. I can get 2 250w aqua medic MH, they have these flaps on them that seem to be legs. Can I rest them on the glass? I have a canopy with 2 computer fans( shout out to fry's). Would one 250 MH be sufficient? Was gonna try to keep my actinic, probably a T8, though. Could I burn my corals?

I tried this new food from marine depot that says color enhancing and my Hippo tang is is the brightest I have ever seen it you ant see it good in the picture but but it really pops from across the room. talking about food. My columbian shark which I had in my previous freshwater tank eats about a full jar of formula one per month. I feed him the medium pellets because he doesn't even notice the other food. ...
