  1. Cooking Rock

I asked a question about cooking rock a while back and looking back on it I think I asked the wrong question. I have about 40 lbs of rock that is now sitting in a container with saltwater in it, I want to dump the water and refill the container with fresh water and kill all life on the rock and start frresh, use it as base rock I guess. What would the best way to do this, using bleach in the water I soak the rock in? Any help would greatly appreciated, thanks.

  4. Sweeeeet!! I love a good deal!

So we go to Petsmart today to buy kibbles and litter, and as always, I cruised the fish supplies aisle. They were having a nice sale, and I scored two more 30 lb bags of lovely fine aragonite sand. That should about do it. I want a sand bed, but not a really deep one.

We also picked up a couple of base rocks at another store in Milwaukee, then had the most fantastic dinner at the Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant. If you are ever in West Allis, WI, have dinner there--lovely naan!
