If I have a FRAG tank that is 48x48 ( LxW ) and put a combo MH/T5 light fixture over the center will the lighting be ok for LPS and SPS? That way I can kill 2 birds with one stone. I know I would be better off with a MH rig on half and T5 on the other half but looking to save a few pennies. tks Craig

So I think I have figured out a way to make my system better! (i.e. more complicated) Now that I have everything up and running I am finding permanent homes for all of my equipment and have a little space open that I don't have anything for! As a result, I think I would like to put a frag tank in that is plumbed into my system. As it would sit I have easy access to my main return pump to draw off of for water intake. My question is regarding the best way to plumb the drain line back into my sump. ...

Well, after trying everything less than a thermonuclear device I still have Maidens Hair in my tank. I've reduced the lighting, manually removed it, and reduced my feeding. I use Elos test kits and my Phosphates are 0, Nitrates 0, Nitrites 0??? I have read that you can have a tank full of algae and read 0 on Phosphates due to the algae consuming it all. I have noticed my Chaeto seems to be getting smaller, it still looks ok nice and dark green. I'm not running any reactors, but am ...
