    How much of a toll has the livestock taken by the oil spill in the gulf, and why does it seem to be to kept it quiet? This story should give you some specific details; we really do need to be aware of what is going on and spread the word. Even though many of us don't have an active part in the day to day clean up efforts, we should be informed as the oil has truly affected many Americans on the gulf.

    "So it's pretty clear to the American, the people in the Gulf, that somehow it's turned not into our country anymore. That's the question. People are just stunned. We thought this was America. We didn't think we had to know exactly what our rights were, we just though we all lived them. Suddenly they're finding that unless they can site chapter and verse they are getting intimidated and backing down from these encounters with BP and/or the Coast Guard."

      This kind of behavior just disgusts me. I've been following this reasonably closely and I really do think that BP not only dropped the proverbial ball, but then lied to the American public and government. BP makes me ashamed to say I work in Oil & Gas. I think there will be far reaching damage to be seen for years, and decades to come.

      Money, economic conditions (job creation), consummer needs, and a reliance on oil, gas and petroleum products. Cash comes from every point along the way; at the well head, at the pipeline, at the processing facility, at market, and then a little bit at the pumps (if we're talking gasoline). There are so many things that are made from petroleum bi-products that most people don't even realize. Society requires a shift in our consummer behavior, our techology, and our values before things will get any better.

      I'm speechless. Buried in the midwest, it's so hard to wrap your head around what's really going on down there.

      You know you can't trust mainstream media, so you have to make your own assumptions. Those pictures are awful........For the citizens on the gulf, for the animals, for everyone. It'll be decades before it recovers............maybe never.....

      I think that mother nature can and will take care of itself. Think of it as a earthquake that had opened a leak in the botton of the ocean. Its not like its some man made think, its a natural product.

      Yes the oil is essentially a natural product, but the chemical they've used to break it down is not from what I understand.

      They are using hair to absorb the oil, but they are using a dispersant to break up the oil that many people believe is toxic and is harmful to wildlife and those consuming it.

      Corexit is more FAR more toxic than natural crude oil. Hence the reason they use X number of millions of gallons of the crap. It isn't about clean up...it's more sinister than that. The information is out there. Seek it. Learn who the worlds owners and follow the money. You'll see disturbing patterns.
