• CRASE 2010 - Emergency Triage

While attending the CRASE conference in Oklahoma City today, a small accident ensued. Paul Whitby lifted his glass aquarium as it was draining, when it suddenly slipped resulting in a deep cut to his finger. When it was apparent he needed some repair work done, I was ready with my iPhone 4.

Heads up - it is real, and a tad bit graphic. Prior to recording, Paul used a large blob of Purell hand sanitizer in his wound to avoid infection, which was a glaringly painful choice. Definitely not recommended for similar circumstances.

Paul was a good sport, no doubt due to our group energy-promoting healing. Plus we had to document it properly!

Ouch that's not good. . . must have happened not long after I left. but at least super glue was available. Kinda interesting that superglue was originally developed as a field dressing for the US military. It Burns going on though, had a finger dermabonded once but that was about an inch and a half long but basically the same stuff.

If I didn't have some zoa frags to get home I probably would have hung around longer. Oh and was nice meeting you Marc
