That gonipora is lovely! I wanted that thing tonight, but didn't pull the trigger. Congrats. With the zoas, I'm very tempted to tell you to dip it in hydrogen peroxide as that seems to be the latest cure for pest issues, but I don't know the concentration and/or risks to your polyps. Since they are closed, they are somewhat safe, but I wouldn't do it long. The image appears to show some stuff on the zoas, but I can't tell what I'm seeing. Have you taken a turkey baster to it already, and perhaps used a very soft toothbrush to remove anything?
Yea, it had a strong current going across it when it was being dipped. The stuff thats on it are the swollen, little white bumps on the polyps.
Sounds like zoa pox. I had a really bad case on all my zoanthids. I finally beat it with one Furan 2 packet to a cup of water dipping every day for three days. You need to get rid of it before your other zoas get infected. It's tough stuff and might not die the first time but have patience and try again after a few days. It took me over a month to get rid of it.
Thanks Sam, Ill get on it.
Your Goniopora gives me something to work towards. It's gorgeous! Good luck on fixing your zoas.
