Tiny white pods

Rate this Entry
Just set up my 220 and cycled water with live rock for about 2 months now. No lights as of yet... Did order the new hybrid 20k evolutions cant wait! However in the sump and two over flows there are tiny white pods. Is the the start of a headache or just copods hatching? Any help would be appreciated.

Likely amphipods. Very good for your system. Let them grow. :-)

They should look like little shrimp. I have them all over. Gives my fish an occasional free snack.

White hard dots could be spirobid worm casings. Still nothing to worry about.

I believe they are the amphipods. That sounds like the exact description. Thanks guys. Matt you hit it right on the head... But what makes them grow??
