Heres the pic of the fish trap in my tank. I put some fish food in it as bait. No bite yet but only second day.

    Not sure what that is, maybe a sponge???? The paly rock has aiptasia on it, get them out now or it could cause trouble. Good luck with the trap!!!

    Thank you for the info! Yeah its probably a sponge. How do I get rid of the aiptasia?

    That black stuff may have small holes or a few obvious siphons extended. If it does, it could be a type of sponge nicknamed Turkey Liver. I've got some in my tank, and while it doesn't go crazy, it can overgrow nearby corals. Keep an eye on it, and if you see it getting too close in proximity, peel away whatever you deem necessary.

    Catch your fish yet?

    Ok, it is like redish in color though..just odd looking if it is a sponge..I don't know.

    I don't know. What does it feel like? How does it respond to any type of contact?
