How did you get your username?

I browse a few reefing forums daily, always finding a few usernames that stand out and wonder where do people come up with them. Some are pretty straight forward and easy to figure out, some are simply names and others a just downright odd.

Some of reef addicts that I can figure out so far are;
Jessy, pretty straight forward
Melev, again fairly straight forward but I always wonder, " why the E instead of an A?".
Blown76mav, I can relate to because a "71" Ford Maverick was my first car.
VulcanRider, I assume is a motorcycle rider because of the avatar.

Bleachandvomit, WTH!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'll start the blog by breaking down my username.
TRIDO
TRIangle construction
Duane
Oestreich
I didnt come up with it on my own. I use it in honor of my dad who passed away. Trigmo33
He was Triangle Construction G.M.O. 33 was his lucky number.
Also, if anyones curious, my avatar is a tattoo of a fish tank inside of my leg.

    I like plants, both the aquatic ones I use in my planted FW tanks, and the ones that live inside many of my favorite corals.

    Fish are but a decoration for them in my book.

    The members of the local FW club are really to blame, for years no one used my name, they just called me the plantguy.

    I like monsters from Godzilla.

    Mothera and Gamera the flying turtle came to mind. I ended up with coigula. It doesn't exist but if it did it would be a gigantic octopus. Was that weird?

    My last name is Mittendorf, and when I was in a cover band the singer and I had the same first name. I was therefore nicknamed Mits, which is also the name of the bus line in Muncie, IN where we went to college.

    I like skimboarding and I use a zap skimboard. I used it for xbox live but then I ended up using it for everything. I figured it could apply to a skimmer also.

    I used to keep and breed reptiles, i had a mexican boa at one time that would bite me on a daily basis, a friend of mine just started calling me snakebite, when i got my first computer and signed up for my lightening fast dial up, the username could only be 8 charachters, so i changed to to Snakebyt, been my username just about everywhere since then

    I use to have a 180 gallon tank with only one fish in it so I guess that is how I got the name 1fishkeeper. But now I have a smaller tank with lots of fish in it oh well I guess I will just have to keep it. There is way to many different things that I would have to change and I guess Im to lazy to do it.

    Ok, here is some embarrassing honesty. I was in a glam band in the 90's and just had to wear spandex. The girls that came to the show started calling me TA??!! i did not know why for a long time, then got a few wine coolers in a couple of these groupies and they admitted it stood for tiny A s s. Well its better than being called FA i guess!! There you go Robbie TA Frank!!

    My name is Phil, I've lived in Alaska for 20 years. Since there were other Phil's on some of the other sites I frequent it seemed to set me apart a bit. Alaska also presents some challenges for reef keeping, mainly shipping costs and transporting live stuff home from the LFS. I'm probably the only one that grabs an insulated cooler to bring fish and corals home with only a 15 min drive.

    Well, I have a fairly common name. Nathan Smith. So way back when I started messing around on the internet, I could never get anything similar to Nathan Smith. I started to think of a username that I could get to go through, no matter where I went.
    Since I love the band Pearl Jam so much, I decided to pick out 2 of their most obscurely named songs, and combine them. So I chose the song Lukin and the second song was called Rats
    So, Lukinrats!

    In recent years, I have also been using another one called Cropcord, but mostly I like to go with Lukinrats
