Marc I say you section off half of the basement and build that into the new tank, you then create a glass floor above the tank and view the tank from the top down. The other half of the basement can be used for the equipment and storage. You can use the new Plasma light technology by straylightoptical. http://www.straylightoptical.com/sea...rybrochure.pdf It might go over your $50k budget, but with that tank you might be able to get donations from companies to build it and could even charge people for entry to view it.
I would LOVE to see an open viewable fuge (planted tank) in the mix.
Mmmmmm mandarins and pipefish
Hmmm....I smell April fools???
Should we say...A.p.r.i.l F.o.o.l.s?

Haha good one but we know you too well Marc.
How about making your new tank shaped like a big "W" because it's wet? That would be a winner for sure.
Oh I almost forgot, you have to have a stripper pole in it for the mermaid![]()
It is good to have goals and BIG dreams. So when are you going to get married?![]()
