Awesome congrats Marc. the whole coral dying off is tragic. I'm sure you won't have a problem getting it restocked again. Have you put together a list of corals you want in your tank? Are you getting large colonies or starting off with frags?
Tonight I'm giong to start feeding water from the 400g system to the temporary system. That will combine the 700g of water volume as one.
Look's great! All that hard work is finally paying off!
Looks great Marc best of luck with a speedy recovery of your live stock
I'm very pleased with how it came out. Tonight I'm going to combine the two systems into one. There's roughly 700g altogether, and I want it all to even out so the transfer will be seamless for the remaining livestock. I lost almost all of my SPS over the seven month period. For a lot of reasons, some avoidable and some not so much. I've had a few friends in the local area as well as a couple out of state offer to send me some small gifts to restart the tank. The holding system wasn't a good plan for 7 months. Two months tops, really... anything longer isn't a recipe for success. I wish I'd farmed out all my stuff to others instead of watching it deplete over time.
Way cool!!!!! I'm so jealous. The whole setup looks awesome, cool tank, I like the black plumbing, the best of the best. Congratulations Marc, I know it's been a long time in the making.
hey nice rock it will do well
I can't wait to see it fully stocked. Hows the livestock been holding up? Great job, looks amazing even in it's current state.
Wow it looks great! How deep is your sand bed? 3 inches?
Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on the fill up.
Congratulations! That's just awesome Marc.
So very nice Marc! I know you've been working your arse off on this project. Now to just get the livestock moved over, the lighting and to build a wall. Are you sure you'll ever be done?
That's the IceCap LED Moonlighting. Here's the product review with all the details: http://www.reefaddicts.com/content.p...D-Moonlighting
A valve would have been much easier. Had I done that, I would have sawed off the handle though. Oh, you mean at the bulkhead prior to the return pump? I thought you were talking about the ends of the Penductor Assembly.
Im wicked jealous over here! Hey what light is that above the tank in the fourth and seventh to last pics? Looks like a strip of blue LED's? Seems to work pretty well even from that height?
I have never thought of using a plug instead of a valve there. Good way to save space and money
Whoo Hoo!!! Congrats!!!!! Amazing! Ya gotta love it when a plan comes together:-) Aaron
Very nice. I hope some of your sponges make it through the move. And I love the Uline peanuts decor!
Nice work on al of it, and I really like what you did with the switches. How about a flip-up clear acrylic cover for the switches??
Congrats! Well done overall.
