nice clean install Marc. I have a hard time imaging that Nutone can keep up, but I don't know all the particulars. I blew air across my tank and exhausted at the far end, but still got salt creep and mild corrosion. It just takes regular wipe downs I guess.

It's a type of sponge. I'll try to get a nice picture of some for you.

    Nice shots Marc.... good job.

Btw, on the fourth to the last pic, what are the yellow spots on your LR ?

No plans for another leather this time. I'd like to make this an SPS dominated reef this time, although I do have some LPS and chalices already. I'll be adding zoas for the bommie as well.

The macro lens is a 105mm Nikkor f/2.8 - it's a great lens when you use a tripod. Freehand, it's a little bit of a hassle to get good shots.

Love it!! My wife is a photographer, and she totally loves her Lightroom. Much better than Apple's Aperture, and we love Apple software.

Tank looks fabulous! Really fantastic shots!! What kind of lens?

I have someone come by to check on the tank daily and they thaw out some preportioned food I have in the freezer. I do have an Eheim autofeeder but it hasn't been used yet.

If you have been gone from your tank you must have an automatic feeder, what kind is it?

Maroun, I opted to run biopellets from the very beginning knowing it would take a few weeks for them to break in and start doing their thing. Like any bacteria, the volume you'll have is based upon available food stuffs present in the system (or in this case the reactor). I used two 1-liter bags of Vertex NP pellets that I purchased from Premium Aquatics. I've not seen any bacterial bloom in my system. No cyano either. Just a little bit of diatoms on the tank. I can't measure the flow, but was told to run 500gph through the NextReef reactor. That's probably close to what I'm doing, based on how the media tumbles.

I use the Salifert Calcium test kit, Jato.

You guys are awful. But I love it. LOL

I'll start offloading my camera tonight to see what I can share with y'all.

Turns out we had 395 people attend. No wonder I was tired. I had to veg-out in front of the TV for a day just to get some down time for myself.

My tank is doing a great job running itself, and I'm simply cleaning the glass every few days. When I travel, I ask a friend to stop by and check on the tank daily.

Marc, you seem to be gone a lot lately. Do you rely on friends to take care of your tank while you're away or is it pretty much automated?
  19. Sisterlimonpot's Avatar
Yeah I don't see them either.
