Questions - Need some input

I have questions that need answers.

  1. Re-siliconing an old tank?

    Hey guys,

I had a few questions about the proper way to resilicone an old tank. I have a new to me 75 gallon tank which made it into a few pictures on here previously (link). The silicone between the glass panels is fine. However, the silicone around the internal portion of the tank has gotten beat up and scraped into by its former owner. I am wondering what the light output need would be for a standard sized 75 gallon (I realize LED and MH are different so whichever you guys know more about, please fill me in!). I would like to ensure that I can care for SPS corals adequately (the tank is 21" deep). Also, I am planning on hanging them 6 - 8 inches above the tank if ...
  4. Problem after breakdown

I'm posting this from my iPhone since it's the only Internet I get at home so I don't have pictures. My problem is that a week ago I drilled into my Biocube 14 thinking it was acrylic... To make a long story short it wasn't. I reacted too quickly and placed my fish in a 40 gal breeder tank I had turned into a sump (it had been water tested previously, but the first time it had had saltwater in it was only several hours before). It was completely new and I tried to place all my livestock and coral ...
