Questions - Need some input

I have questions that need answers.

  1. Top up water...

Hey all... so someone at work the other day brought up something interesting... He said do you have a dehumidifyer?.. I thought.. hmm.. yes. could I?
So I'll be honnest I never thought of that, but.. Does anyone know if I could use that to top off my tank?

I don't have RO/DI right now so thats out of the question.. I live in the country and we are on a well.. Do you think the dehumidifyer would be better then the tap water?
  2. Cooking Rock

Quick question, I've heard people talk about cooking rock to get all life off of it, what is the best and safest way to do this? I have about 40 pounds of rock I want to take care of. Thanks.

  5. Flow issue

I don't think I'm getting enough flow, but my pumps gph seems to be high enough. What would you do if you had a 90 gallon tank with 2 Koralia Evo 1050 powerheads and a return pump? The ph's are positioned in the back corners both facing the middle of the front pane of glass, and the return is on the back right side pointed straight left. Would you redirect pumps? Add pumps? Keep in mind budget is a concern here. I can't just go out and buy vortech pumps or anything like that.
