  1. What is that?

    As I walked past the frag tank today, I saw what I thought were some white bubbles near the top corner. I was about to swipe them out, as I like my tanks clean but realized it wasn't foam at all. I had to take out the Macro lens for this one as I thought you'd find it interesting.

  3. Out with the old, in with the new.

    Wooo, long weekend!!!

    The tank has been cycling for about two months, and Ive been using ammonia chloride to do a fishless cycle. I decided yesterday that it was ready to go. Here are a few pics.

  4. Paul Whitby's 600g reef

    Last weekend while visiting the COMAS club at CRASE, I got to stop by Paul Whitby's beautiful 600g reef. It is 2.5 years old, and in a hybrid tank by AGE. Paul had them create a tank that has an acrylic perimeter glued to the PVC base, but the panels are starphire glass.

  5. MASVC Meeting

    So today our local reef club had its monthly meeting, I gave a slide show presentation on carbon dosing, which was segwayed into the raffle where the grand prize was a BRS Bio Pellet Reactor and Pellet Combo Pack (Donated by BRS). Out of all the other raffled items this one had the most tickets, I tossed 10 tickets in the pot knowing full well my chances were very slim because there were guys tossing 30+ tickets in the pot.
