Nice summary of the Crase event held in OKC. They did a great job in putting this event together and we came home with several new corals and a bag of Reef Nutrition won in the raffle. The trip from Dallas was well worth it, also had a chance to hang out talk with other reefers made the trip priceless.
CRASE was my first aquarium related event and the first thing in a long time that I have really been to. It was a lot of fun and some really good information, didn't win anything in the raffle but that is the way my luck has been since going to see Jeff Foxworthy. . . bought cheap tickets and ended up meeting him backstage and sitting in the front row, both upgrades for winning two different drawings the day of the show. No Luck since, though a vendor took home like 5 or 6 prizes and there was quite a few who won two or three things.
I ended up buying 3 pieces of rock (8 pounds) of rock from Marcorocks and picked up 3 zoa frags from village frags and a good sized piece of leather from another vendor.
I can't wait to go to another event like this and hopefully can go to the one in Fort Worth. One question though, how much are the actual tickets running and the registration doesn't seem to work for advance purchase so do i just need to PM you Marc?
Oh and Marc was nice meeting you too! (Think long hair, beard, heavyset, glasses. . . LOL)
The description of vendor alley sounds like a kid in a toy shop!
I've always had a blast at MACNA 3 years in a row now, so it might be time to branch out to other shows.
great event on their parts! horrible event planning for mine...![]()
