    Hi Jeremy,

What I discuss is everything you need to know to set up a sump, including plumbing, zone sizes, refugium lighting, baffle spacing, material options, and more. All this information is already available on Melev's Reef. I don't post up videos or my powerpoint since I'm paid as a public speaker. If it was available online, there would be no reason for me to travel to the various clubs. I already give away a ton of information on a regular basis, so this one stays in-house.

    Hey Marc,

How much would it cost to get a copy of your presentation of sump building? It would be cool if you would make it available to all of us. Just make sure that it's worth while for you to do (read as profitable). If the presentation you gave was recorded that would be a good place to start. Message me if you have a copy or would be willing to prepare one and we'll discuss details there. Thanks!

    Hey Marc,

    What's this one?

Very nice. I love the macro as well! Thanks for sharing. :-)

Henry - AlgaGen offers a few types, and you can order them online from the major e-tailers. I don't know that any LFS will carry them because of the short shelf life.

Robb - I brought a soft cooler (from the MARSH MACNA) in my suitcase. I filled this up with bagged items, and put it back in the suitcase for the trip home. Everything did well, but I was pretty nervous about them being damaged. My suitcase is a soft cloth type, not the hard shell I used to use.

great shots Marc. I had bad experiences with acropora growing over rocks like that. In my case, they would trap material, perhaps bacteria or other organisms, which would then die. This would then cause STN in the acropora, and it is VERY difficult to remedy.

Very nice looking corals Marc! I'm going to talk with my LFS to see if they can get me some pods in the bottle. Do they come with a lot of pods in the bottle?

There are definitely pods in the bottle, and the company drop ships from their vats to your door. You won't be getting pods that have been shelved in a store for a while.

One thing that was mentioned during the talk by Vince Rado was that you need to acclimate your pods, making sure salinity and temperature match before pouring them into the tank or refugium. Just checked my bottle and the salinity was 1.021sg while my tank is 1.025sg. So I'm adding some saltwater gradually to a pitcher with the pods and bottled water.

Marc, I would like to hear your experience/evaluation of the Reef Pods Tisbe. I have a good pod population going and just picked up a Blue Mandarin today (I have seen your mandarin diner), but I was thinking about getting some of the Reef Pods in the future.
