  1. Wanting to build my own sump/refugium

I have already started on the stand, I am building a steel frame stand covered in wood. I am waiting for quotes on getting it powder coated, and while I wait I want to get started on the sump. I am using a 40g breeder with the dims of 36 x 18 x 16 as my sump and using a ASM G3 skimmer which has a footprint ...

  2. Hello, fellow addicts

My name is Jimmy and I DON' T have a problem. This is my first post, and will try posting at least once a day. My current project is a " green" tank. 40g. breeder, 50 lbs. of LR, 2 Remora Pro skimmers, 2 Hydor Evos on timers, 4 T5 daylight, T8 actinic, and a Marineland LED 36 in. The skimmers are the only devices run 24 hours, everything else on timers. I keep softies and stonies, and a few fish and inverts.

ID:	4102I thought my tank was going well but for a couple of months now I just can't seem to get rid of this algea on my sand and the hair algea on my tank walls. My tank has been setup for about a year and a half. I've tested my water myself and had it tested at the local "saltwater warehouse" in Dayton and it falls within parameters. I've done numerous water changes usually every fortnight. ...

  5. Updates on the 150

Not much progress on the 150 build due to some changes in my life recently. But here's some updates.

First, here's a shot of the brace in the center of the tank. I can't seem to eliminate the cloudyness, I'm even tried polishing it out with Flitz with no effect. It's about 2' wide so I'm always going to have a lower light area in the center of this tank.

I ordered a pair of overflow kits from ...
