Lighting descriptions
Does any one have these and are they any good for Fish AND Corals. I know in asking "corals" that there are soft and hard corals, as a newbie, I havent figured out whats what in that category...If the marineland Reef Lighting will work on 1 type, I'd be pretty set with that option... Does anyones LFS use these in a DT in the store??? Opinions? Thoughts??? Thanks, Aaron
The light that came with my 55g used tank supports two 55 watt power compact whites and two 55 watt blue actinic bulbs but has an additional light bar of some kind running along the back edge that I would like help identifying. Ok so I havent been doing anything with my salt water build. Life got in the way and with a possible move decided i didnt want to get a tank up to just tear it down. Now the move has been put off for a few years so I want to get it up and running. Still have to finish sump, build/fix the overflow box, create my live rock and buy good lights. I am looking at doing fish and some soft corals to start. I was originally looking at an Odyssea T5 216 watt light ...

Finally purchased my lighting, got a good deal on it at Dallas North, so I had to grab it, it's a 48", AquaticLife T5 HO 6 Lamp with 4 Lunar lights light. I guess I'm going to have to start figuring out how I'm going to mount it, I need to get it about 4 more" off the water (a total of about 7" above the tank), so I have room to get into the tank to clean or move things around, can't decide if I want to hang it or build a canopy for it. ...
I believe this is a birds nest frag This Favia was much darker in the LFS. I have just moved him up 6 inches from the sand bed to here. My tank is 30" tall with 250 MH, where should he be? Or is this good coloring? This picture is a good representation of actual color of tank/corals ...
