  1. Dart pumps, repaired once more

I like the Sequence Dart pumps, but like anything they too need to be repaired as parts give out over time. I looked at the twin pumps that run 24 hours a day, and was surprised to see salt creep and crusty stuff amassing in their vicinity. Yuck!

I called up the people at Reeflopumps.com and they shipped me out new seals and four new bearings. When you have the pump pulled part for the seals, it's only a little ...

Lost power last night to tank on dedicated GFI breaker.

Found the sump over flowed because returned back siphoned and were not in top off tank like they should have been. Well I have a tray underneath the sump that drains by 3/4" uniseal and 3/4" PVC pipe to garage floor. Well that worked too so not big deal right? WRONG!

The home for the tank is not finished being prepped, as I was expecting more lead time on knowing the tank's arrival. That said I will have a busy week getting the wall opening and stand leveling properly prepared.

Does anyone know of a store that would carry composite shims? I guess I could ...

  5. 75 Gal build Stage 1, Planning

As most of you know I'm getting the 55 gal set up I gave away a year ago back. And planning to upgrade it to a 75.

    Step 1, Research
I've just finished rereading parts of "Aquarium Corals" by Eric H. Borneman, which prompted me to get a copy of "Natural Reef Aquariums" by John H. Tullock. I really like Tullocks ideas for a biotype aquarium that replicates one reef zone, from one part of the world.

Currently I only have 2 species of fish. 1 false ...
