Hey so I have a question I need some help with regarding floor support for a second story tank. I am curious peoples thoughts on max size of a tank that can be kept on a conventional framed floor. My house is about 5 years old and I plan to put a tank in my bedroom which is over the garage. The tank will be spanning multiple joists and will be against an outside gable end wall. Any thoughts on the max size I SHOULD put there WITHOUT any additional floor supports in the garage underneath. I have ...

For the last few weeks I've been looking after a pair of reef aquariums for a friend of mine. One of which is my old 55 gal setup that will be moved back to my home soon. The other is his 40 breeder set up. Well, when i stopped by there tonight things were awefully dark and quiet.

I quick investigation reveled that the 55 had no power at all, and only 1/2 the lights and 1 power head were running on the 40. I quickly located the electrical panel and tried to reset the expected tripped ...

Over the last few month I've been contemplating selling my reef system. I LOVE my reef! My wife lost her job late last year and has been looking for a job ever since. She is an accountant. There are no jobs. So, I'm selling my tank this weekend. I posted my reef on FaceBook a few weeks ago and someone contacted me and wants it. We really need the money so I agreed.

I'm very sad that I have to sell my reef, but I'm doing it for more than the money. I'm starting grad school ...
