  1. How big is too big?

    About a month ago I found myself getting interested in starting an aquarium. I don't know what caused me to decide that now was the time to do it. At first I thought I'd like a freshwater tank with some Cichlids. So I started doing some research. I don't know how, but I stumbled onto David Saxby's TOTM feature on ultimatereef.com.   2. Got em!

    Finally got that damsel. Well this is how it went down. I started to just try and play mind games with him, damsels are pretty smart though and whereever I put the trap, he didn't go.

  3. Guam Reefs

    I may have an opportunity to visit Guam this year, so I did a little research on the place and found this great web site with lots of high quality photos of the reefs and reef life there. Lots of inspiration for future tanks.

    Off the coast of Louisiana, the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling platform exploded and sank, leaving 11 workers missing and presumed dead, and a leak at the rate of 1000g of oil per day. Here's the full story:

  5. The beginning of my 29+ gallon reef setup

    Figured I would actually toss up some pics of the setup so I can come back to them later and see the progress.

    Tank started off a few years ago as a FOWLR setup, as I never really thought a 29 gallon could make a decent reef setup. After seeing a few others (melev's being one of them) I decided to take the plunge and get it going.
