hello i thought i would update everyone on my build progress. my sand came in today i ordered 75lbs of fiji pink from carib sea, yesterday i finished my plumbing up and i filled the closed loop intake line up with water to sorta leak test it so far so good we will find out for sure when its running. and right now my tank is being filled up with ro water it should be done some time tomorrow and ill start heating the water and testing the closed loop then ill get my salt mixed in. ...
My first aquarium was purchased from my LFS almost 10 years ago. I had it up and running until we moved to a new house in 2007. Since that time, its sat in the corner of my basement and collected dust. The tank is about 30 gallons, and while I know that is small for saltwater aquariums, I like the challenge of running such a setup. Smaller aquariums also keep CAPEX and OPEX costs down. How's it going fellow reef addicts!!!!!!!! Just joined last night, I've been doing salt and fresh tanks since I was 8 now it's mostly salt and the occasional fresh to get friends and family into the aquarium hobby.
