Hi to all i have a 30g cube mixed reef 8 months old. i was planing to replace my old rock scape and sand to new rock scape and sand. the plan is i will remove my corals and LR and shipon my sand, then i repace it with new sand and put the new rock scape and place all my corals. do i need to cycle again my tank for replacing all my LR and sand to new one? TIA!

I have finally been able to hang my Aqua Illumination lights (had to convince my wife that it would look nice and get my father in law over to help). I used the AI hanging kit. I lowered them about an inch after these pictures were taken to reduce light spilling over to the room. I am very happy with the end results. Now it is time for some fine tuning on the the colors and intensities. I may also put up something to run the wires back down and behind the tank. PVC painted black ...

The tank was cloudy white on Sunday after I finished getting everything put in it, not unexpected. It cleared up somewhat yesterday, but it appeared to have regressed today. My guess is that I'm getting a bacterial bloom from the sandbed being disturbed. The makeup of the water that filled the new tank was probably 60-70% 3 day old heated, mixed saltwater @ pH, Salinity, & Temp and 40-30% saltwater that I moved with the tank. Here's the new fish... my Mandarin Goby. Before anyone gets upset that a mandarin is in a 29g let me say this. He is eating frozen. He actually seems to completely ignore my live pods, he's likely tank raised. He stayed at the store he was at for over a month. During that time he ate only frozen foods and he is still fat. Before I picked him up I worked out with a bud of mine who has a 220 that if he starts getting skinny he is getting a new mandarin! lol. ...
