Well, well, well....looks like I'm back on familiar grounds. It has been nearly two years since I last started my 300 Gallon Mixed Reef. I sold off my second build reef and have just planning rimless. I plan on doing some interesting things with this new setup, and I know that it will be even better than the last one. So here we go, It quite long and over due to post some update f my tank. You will really surprise what happened at the last..... so here is our journey of "My 300 Gallon Reef in Saudi Arabia". Normally we do not care of tank over flow boxes, weather it's external or internal. What I realize that most of detritus and debris stay there for long time until it convert from one shape to another which is harmful for optimal water parameters.... by chance yesterday ...

Well after 4-5 weeks my cycle is complete The two table shrimp are pretty much gone, ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0, and nitrates are between 0 and 5 ppm.. Temp is 77-78 degrees, salinity is right on the mark. Calcium seemed high at like 480-500 but it was my first test and not sure if i did it right. Did a 5 gallon water change today. But im concerned as I havent seen any algae or diatom blooms.....i have read many start up threads with these and im wondering ...
