I'm going to be out of town for an 8 week stretch next year and I'm really worried about my reef . Anyone have suggestions about what to do to give me some piece of mind? My options so far are 1) a local fairly reputable tank maintenance company and 2) the wife's little brothers (18 and 21) who are responsible, but not experienced with reefs and live an hour away. Both options have their problems as you may imagine... Any other suggestions?
Hi i want to ask how to removed this brown algae on my rocks and whats causing it to grow? this is not the actual pics just found it on the web but it look like this. Bristle worm are reef safe or not? do they harm other LS? Not the actual pics but look like this one and i think the lenght is 4-5 inch in L. ...
I have a question. I have had mixed reviews on stirring the sandbed. Some say it is a bad idea do to the release of high bacteria concetration and thus risking a crash,others say it is not a big deal and is ok. Any thoughts or suugestions on this? thanks, glue slinger..
In the last little while I have just been letting my tank do its thing, ive also been slowly placing my frags up on the rock, they were all over the sand acclimating, i have also been feeding very heavy to try and color up my coral. levels are holding steady, im frusturated i dont have to dose Ca...with weekly changes i seem to be able to keep it high enough my potters angle has been causing ...
