  1. Step-by-step Instructions for DIY LED's

I have noticed that there are not many places where you can find information on DIY LED's for beginners, and I haven't seen any blogs on Reef Addicts yet, so I thought I'd post my experience. I am not an expert by any means, I am just a beginner myself. This blog will only include what I have learned from others and what I've learned from my own mistakes. If there is any information that is incorrect or not complete please comment and add it to this info.

  2. Tearing out the old ceiling today

After yesterday's discussion, I decided to get that ceiling pulled out quickly before it warmed up outside. Wearing a facemask, I climbed up into the attic and played joust with a whisk broom vs the fluffy stuff. It grudgingly abated somewhat, but not all of course. Here's where we left off yesterday...

    Hello everyone!,

My name is Tal, AKA: fishtal. I live in Michigan and I got back into the hobby in early 2006. I soon found my way to MASM.org, the Marinelife Aquarium Society of MI. Each year MASM hosts the Midwest Marine Conference. At the 2008 Conference I met Frank Marini who talked about captive breeding and got hooked. A week later I started turning a spare room into a breeding room.

Later in 2008 I attended MACNA in Atlanta and met Matt Wittenrich and eventually ...

  4. Green Your Reef!

    Plumbing
The last thing I thought I would ever want to talk about was plumbing, but never say never. After my first couple of setups it became apparent that the plumbing department...was lagging. Thankfully, I stumbled across a local club with a very active forum that had tons of simple, practical information that demystified reefkeeping. Plumbing ...

  5. My Second Reef Tank... Should I have changed anything???

    Hello,

I really never thought I would be the person to make a blog but I believe there is a good reason behind it. The possibility to win a controller is always good, but I would also love to have feed back about my tank.

Lets start at the beginning. My first saltwater tank was a 75 gallon display with a 15 gallon refuge and a 20 gallon sump(all tightly wedged under the display tank). The tank was only running a year and half before it got moved but I learned from ...
