  1. Leveling a tank?

    Hey guys,

    I have a picture to show all of you. The kind that an owner gets excited over. Water in the tank!! Here's my tank filled as high as I can currently fill it (the plumbing and overflow box aren't totally finished yet):

  2. Weak weekly update

    A very busy work week and cooler temperatures have slowed progress to a crawl this week.

    On Monday I got the top on the stand frame and lifted the tank into place for a trial. I wanted to confirm the height would be about what I'd thought and get the wife's approval. Here's a picture of the tank on the frame with my wife (5'2") standing next to it. I thought I'd also gotten a picture with the sump in place once I'd completed the lower platform, but I can't find it now.

  3. Front Tank Shot 2/11/2012

    Sadly, I have procrastinated updating my blog since my custom tank arrived about 4 months ago. So much has been done to the tank that I don't even know where to begin to restart my blog. I may just post a recent front tank shot from this morning, and work my way backwards with things that I feel may be interesting or relevant. Hopefully I can be more diligent with keeping my blog updated. To be honest, I don't like change and it has taken awhile for me to wrap my head around blogs and not just updating ...

  5. Day 365 – One year old today

    Today, my reef turns one year old, but I can’t really feel the reason to celebrate. If anything, I’ve been really frustrated that my reef isn’t humming along nicely and showcasing beautiful corals that have been growing in over the past twelve months. At nine months, it was looking great and was vivid with color, now it feels almost like I’m starting over.
