I have not said much about the controller I am using. So I figured I will give it a go here. The screenshots here were done from an iPad. Today I noticed this tubeworm feather duster had a cluster of eggs around the tube. Apparently this tubeworm (or another one) spawned and the eggs probably got snagged on the hard tube instead of being washed away into the filtration. Which allowed me to get a picture of them. Neat!
Not the most interesting topic, but I saw this curiosity and wanted to share it. I just checked my tank temperature for the 400g reef, and then for the 60g frag system. The first one uses metal halides, vhos, and a small cooling fan. The second one uses LED lighting and no fan. My external skimmer has overflowed a few times over the 3 years since my tank has been set up. Even if I keep the cup drain open and let it go into a 5 gal pail it it will occasionally surprise me with a full pail and a wet floor in my basement sump room.
