  1. Fungia Pays It Forward

They say where there's water, there's life. Here's my "resurrection" coral at it again. Tiny Fungia babies popping up from the plate's skeleton. The coral was burned by a Rose BTA, and died. Leaving it be, a few months later more life emerged. Look closely and you'll see at least two new polyps forming. A twinspot Blenny looks on from the right.

It was concerning, so I stopped the pump and tried to unwind it with my gloved hand. It began retracting into the rocks, so I left it alone before I annoyed it -- I didn't want it to split, nor to move.

  4. Macro Lens shots

I thought about trying to get a reflection shot of my reef today, but it's not possible with this aquarium. The livestock is too far away from the surface, and the tank doesn't have enough front-to-back depth. So I changed my plan and shot with my 105mm macro lens.

  5. new fish addition

So my girlfriend Emily loves boxfish. we have had a couple tries at it with longest lasting six months. i really do not like the fish because how hard they are to get eating. Well i broke down after seeing this guy come in where i work on ocasion. he was eating fine and had been in a system with copper for a week, so pulled the trigger. he was very timid the first three days but going about picking at the rocks and staying out of the other fish way. then he finally starting eating, he now has a ...
