  1. New Frag Tank

I am building a frag tank out of 1/4" acrylic, the dimensions will be 14"x14"x6". The frag tank will sit on top of my sump and the light that is shining into the frag tank will shine through the tank into the refugium. My question is what size pump should I use for pumping water up from the sump? Also what is the ideal spot to put the output and over flow for maximum flow?

  2. What is that?

As I walked past the frag tank today, I saw what I thought were some white bubbles near the top corner. I was about to swipe them out, as I like my tanks clean but realized it wasn't foam at all. I had to take out the Macro lens for this one as I thought you'd find it interesting.

Over the last 2 weeks or so my ORA Tri-color has went from Cream/Purple/ with green polyps to a REALLY light cream color, not bleach white but no purple and no green polyps. It started out Brown/Purple with green polyps.

My tests are showing 0's across the board, 450 ca and 9 DKH. Can it ...

  5. fragging question

i was fragging a bunch of my corals for my friend and seemed to have come across a problem. how do you frag corals that have attached to your rock if you don't want to destroy your rock structure? obviously fragging acro is easy because you can just snip pieces of it off and zoanthids can just be scrapped off. i have a rainbow monti and verrucosa that are both about 6" x 8" and are attached to different rocks and about 6 colonies of acan that the base structures have grown into the rocks. ...
