So I captured these videos the other day. The first one is from my refugium which contains live rock, chaeto, and 1” miracle mud as substrate. It is filled with life, and some type of snail and possibly mysis shrimp(?) breeding has been happening. The first video is a close-up of one of the rocks in the refugium. If you look closely you can see little white ...

  2. Got back from Comic Con...

Last weekend, I attended San Diego's Comic Con (Thursday to Sunday). I had a great time, and during my time away, a friend watched the reef to make sure all was well. There was a power outage on Friday night, and the Apex notified me via text and email, but never informed me if power was restored. I didn't really feel comfortable contacting my friend at 2 a.m. his time, so I wrote him the next morning to let him know and have him give me an update. He stopped by and reported all was fine. 5. First Ever Full Blown Aquarium Disease.

So the last fish inhabitant of my aquarium is about to pass on and after taking a full battery of water parameter test and going with everyone's suggestions on what I thought was a Bristle Worm problem I think the following photographs below would most likely point to some type of water born disease except I'm not expert on marine disease so if you have any thoughts than please chime in. It doesn't seem to affect any of the inverts, clams or corals within the aquarium. Your assistance in advance ...
