  1. Sites to see in Vegas?

Looks like I'm going to be spending a week in Vegas at Light Fair next month. I'll have a couple evenings free while I'm there and wondered if there were any reef related sites to see or shops to check out while I'm there? Not really interested in gambling or shows.
    Thanks.

  2. Day One

It almost feels wrong counting days of the 215g temporary tank. The 400g ran for just over 13 months when it sprung a leak, and that mental counter was discontinued. In order to fix the tank, it needed to be emptied, and eight days ago I was able to squeeze a loaner aquarium into the fishroom to hold the livestock.

As soon as everyone left, my cold kicked into overdrive and I ended up trying to will away the flu with all the meds I had on hand. It took a full week to get back on ...

  4. New CAD Lights LED setup

I decided to treat myself for my birthday. At MAX a few weeks ago, CAD Lights (www.cadlights.com) was displaying their new multichip LED fixtures. Reef Builders blog covered them here: http://reefbuilders.com/2012/04/06/c...ulti-chip-led/
After talking to Eddie from Cad Lights about them, I decided to go with the middle model, the 50w multichip (62 total watts) to replace my 250 halide over my frag tank. The claim is the 50w replaces a 250w halide, the 100w replaces a 400w. By the ...

  5. well, I broke down and did it....

I finally did the one thing with this hobby I swore I would never do. Not that what I did was a necessarily bad thing but I just had a hard time convincing myself that it was worth it. What exactly is it you might ask? I finally broke down and purchased a Vortech Mp40. That's right I swore to myself that I would never spend that much money on what always amounted in my head to a very expensive power head but, as I have gained a very generous promotion at work and would like nothing more but to see ...
